You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you. That you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain (John 15:16a).
This verse shows the 3-fold vision of our church which are:
1. Go – meaning we must go and preach the gospel
2. Bear fruit – meaning we must lead people to know and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior
3. Fruit should remain – meaning we must disciple our fruit or converts
We should properly disciple our converts by taking care of them in the cell group, which does the four basic functions of the church such as:
1. Worship
2. Fellowship
3. Teaching of the Word of God
4. Evangelism
As we do the vision, God promised us in the second half of the verse, ‘ whatsoever we shall ask of the Father in Jesus’ Name, He may give it you’ (John 15:16b). Do you need wisdom, power, love, strength, etc.? Ask Him and He will give it to you. He is faithful and will fulfill His promises to those who obey Him. Thus, together let us do our God-given vision and experience the joy, blessings, and success He gives to those who trust and obey Him.
